The Université de Sherbrooke, with a variety of bachelor’s, master’s, doctoral and post-doctoral programs, certificates and microprograms, the Collège Édouard-Montpetit, Cegep St-Lambert, and the Université de Montréal have campuses here.
Enjoy one of the regional or national parks filled with opportunities for camping, fishing, biking or hiking. Récré-O-Parc, a migratory bird refuge on the banks of the St. Lawrence River, is a great place to walk and admire the Lachine Rapids and nearby locks.
The South Shore communities provide easy access to downtown Montreal. Longueuil’s regional busses provide direct service to Montreal and connections with the metro trains to Montreal. The Mont Saint-Hilaire commuter train stops at the Saint-Hubert station, and four bridges and one tunnel provide automobile access to the Island of Montreal.
