Brampton, Ontario is located west of Toronto and north of Mississauga near the Lester B Pearson International Airport. Downtown Toronto is readily accessible, with the Brampton Transit system connecting to GO Transit and VIA Rail.

Brampton is a suburban city with a mix of historic and new single family homes, condos, and townhomes. Downtown Brampton, the heart of the community, is a blend of tree lined residential and commercial neighbourhoods. New townhomes in downtown Brampton are leading the resurgence of the core. Dining, entertainment, culture and recreation are within walking distance. Rose Theatre Brampton, a stunning new performance complex, delivers world class entertainment. Visit the Peel Heritage Complex or one of the unique downtown shops. Brampton Farmers’ Market is open on Main St Saturdays from June to October and there are several large shopping malls nearby.

The financial centre of Brampton is the 'Four Corners' at Main St and Queen St where most of the major banks are located. Brampton’s economy includes a number of major national and international companies and a large automotive assembly plant.

Brampton’s parks are filled with culture and recreation. Gage Park offers summer concerts and a winter skating trail. Brampton Curling Club, baseball diamonds, playgrounds, a skateboard park, basketball courts, walking paths, and golf courses are all available. The Claireville Conservation Area contains significant natural and cultural heritage features and has outstanding recreation facilities. Next to the Claireville Conservation Area is a ranch offering trail rides and a campground with serviced and unserviced campsites.

Climate is typical of southern Ontario. Winter temperatures average between - 2.9°C and -6.3°C. Summer temperatures average between 17.8°C and 20.8°C. Snow fall occurs October through April with accumulations averaging 5 cm to 7 cm.
